Het is daarmee qua leeftijd het oudste voertuig ooit dat deel heeft uitgemaakt van de VSM-collectie (de bouwjaren van de onderstellen van de Oostenrijkers even buiten beschouwing gelaten; van \u00e9\u00e9n onderstel is bouwjaar 1918 bekend).<\/p>\n<p>Helaas kunnen we dit gedenkwaardige moment niet samen met het object beleven, maar we schenken er hier toch even aandacht aan.<\/p>\n<p>Vanaf 1 april 1920 verenigen zich de diverse Duitse <em>L\u00e4nderbahnen<\/em> als <em>Reichseisenbahnen<\/em>. Omdat de <em>Einheitslokomotiven<\/em> nog ontwikkeld moeten worden, gaat de aanschaf van <em>L\u00e4nderbahnlokomotiven<\/em> vooreerst gewoon door. Hieronder zijn ook goederentreinlocomotieven van het type T16<sup>1<\/sup>, oorspronkelijk van de <em>Preu<\/em><em>\u03b2ische Staatsbahn<\/em>. Onder andere betreft dit een bestelling van 10 exemplaren voor de <em>Eisenbahndirektion\/ED<\/em> Elberfeld bij de Hannoversche Maschinenbau A.G te Hannover-Linden. Vanaf dat moment gaat de locomotief onder nummer 8187\/Elberfeld door het leven. Na een proefrit op 2 april van Leinhausen naar Wunstorf wordt de locomotief op 4 april daaropvolgend in dienst gesteld.<\/p>\n<p>Ook onder de hoede van de <em>Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft\/DRG<\/em> (vanaf 1924) blijft het nummer 8187 vooreerst gehandhaafd. In 1926 wordt dit nummer volgens het nieuwe DRG-nummerschema (\u2019<em>Baureihen<\/em> 01 bis 99\u2019) gewijzigd in 94 1055. Dit nummer blijft gehandhaafd na de naamswijziging van 1937 in <em>Deutsche Reichsbahn\/DRB<\/em>. Ook als later de spoorwegen in de westelijke zone onder de hoede van de Amerikaanse\/Engelse\/Franse bezettingsmacht vallen en na de oprichting in 1949 van de West-Duitse <em>Deutsche Bundesbahn\/DB<\/em> blijft dit nummer gehandhaafd. Met de invoering van de computernummering bij de DB per 1 januari 1968 wordt het 094 055-1.<\/p>\n<p>Onder dit laatste nummer wordt de locomotief per 24 december 1974 door de DB uit het bestand afgevoerd. Verkoop aan de VSM geschiedt per 30 april 1975. Zoals bekend doet de locomotief gedurende het seizoen 1975 dienst bij de VSM, om vervolgens begin januari 1976 te worden afgevoerd. Gebouwd door Berliner Maschinenbau A.G. vormals L. Schwartzkopff onder fabrieksnummer 7473, door de betreffende Eisenbahn Inspektor toegelaten op 2 maart 1921 (conform de dagtekening van de offici\u00eble keteltekening). Deze ketel hoorde oorspronkelijk bij locomotief 8247\/Essen, de latere 94 1120\/094 120-3.<\/p>\n<p>Proficiat \u2018Ouwe Taaie\u2019, zoals de 94-er tijdens de VSM-openingsrit op 14 juli 1975 in Eerbeek werd gedoopt. Je hebt de 100 jaar niet echt gehaald, maar we zullen je niet vergeten. Het enige VSM-voertuig met een <em>L\u00e4nderbahn<\/em>-verleden\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Sloop was in 1976 onontkoombaar. De belangrijkste reden was dat de VSM toen geen \u2018museum(lijn)\u2019 was, zoals bijvoorbeeld de SHM en MBS. De VSM was een toeristische attractie, met rijdende treinen. Voor statisch materieel was geen plaats. Daar komt bij dat de oud ijzer-opbrengst goed van pas kwam voor de aanschaf van nieuwe locomotieven (Krupp en 80 036).
