Vanaf zondag 12 juli tot en met zondag 30 augustus rijdt de stoomtrein door het afwisselende Veluwse landschap. Op alle dagen, behalve zaterdagen brengen om 10:00u en 13:30u de stoker en de machinist hun machtige machine onder stoom voor en unieke en nostalgische belevenis. De nostalgische treinreis voert over een van de mooiste stukken van de Veluwe tussen Beekbergen en Dieren. Het station in Beekbergen vormt het kloppend hart van dit levende museum. Hier bevindt zich het historische stoomdepot met een omvangrijke collectie historisch spoormaterieel. In de loop van vele jaren is een imposante verzameling opgebouwd, waaronder vele oude stoom- en diesellocomotieven, historische rijtuigen een goederenwagens. Een groot deel daarvan is van dichtbij te bewonderen in het historische stoomdepot in Beekbergen. De vele bedrijfsvaardige locomotieven zijn de trots van de VSM-vrijwilligers, evenals de vele rijtuigen, zoals de \u2018Oostenrijkers\u2019 en de Nederlandse \u2018Blokkendozen\u2019. Ook het sfeervolle originele stationsgebouw uit de begintijd, compleet met authentiek ingericht stationskantoor is hier te vinden.
