De S-CHK 20992, een zogeheten \u2018Hongaar met kopdeuren\u2019 is een unieke toevoeging aan de collectie gesloten goederenwagens; het is namelijk de enige bewaarde Nederlandse goederenwagen met kopdeuren!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Historie<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1949 kochten de Nederlandse Spoorwegen bij de Hongaarse wagon- en machinefabriek GY\u00d6R 240 grootvolumewagens. Daaraan hebben de wagens hun bijnaam \u2018Hongaren\u2019 te danken. In 1953 en 1957 zijn als proef tweemaal vijf wagens voorzien van deuren in de voor-en achterkant. Deze \u2018kopwanddeuren\u2019 waren nodig om lange goederen te kunnen laden. Daarnaast was het belangrijk om te testen met een nieuw opkomend type vracht: personenauto\u2019s! Een daarvan, de CHHP 20972, behoort sinds 1994 tot de VSM-collectie. Deze wagen is een van de hoogtepunten van de totale VSM-collectie; de wagen is opgenomen in het Nationaal Register Mobiel Erfgoed en is gewaardeerd met een A-status.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De andere Hongaar, de S-CHK 20992 is een van de tien wagens met kopdeuren en is daarmee iets bijzonders. Deze wagen was eigendom van onze collega\u2019s van de Stoomstichting Nederland in Rotterdam en heeft daar gediend als opslagruimte. Daar werd hij overbodig en daarom is na goed overleg besloten een ruil te maken; de Hongaar met kopdeuren is geruild tegen de stalen rongenwagen S-LWO. Het transport is door crowdfunding mogelijk gemaakt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Herenigd<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Daarom was vandaag een bijzondere dag: alle resterende exemplaren van dit type goederenwagen zijn weer bij elkaar. Daarmee zijn er voor het eerst in grofweg 35 jaar weer meerdere Hongaren bij elkaar te zien.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De collectie van de VSM toont de naoorlogse ontwikkeling van de gesloten goederenwagen. In deze zoektocht naar de optimale gesloten goederenwagen zijn de kopdeuren een bijzondere tussenstap geweest. Daarom is deze wagen een bijzondere verschijning, die een belangrijke bijdrage levert aan het totale ensemble. In de toekomst zal de wagen opgeknapt worden en deel uit gaan maken van de rijvaardige collectie. Dan heeft de VSM met de beide Hongaren een bijzonder setje in huis.
