Der Dampfzug h\u00e4lt auch an der Haltestelle Immenbergweg, insbesondere f\u00fcr Campingg\u00e4ste in den vielen Bungalowparks im Wald der Veluwe. Die Route verl\u00e4uft zwischen der Veluwe und dem IJsseltal mit einer abwechslungsreichen Wald- und Wiesenlandschaft.<\/p>\n<p>Die Strecke ist Teil der sogenannten \u201eKoning Willem III\u201c-Strecke, die offiziell von Dieren \u00fcber Apeldoorn nach Zwolle f\u00fchrt. Der Abschnitt Apeldoorn &#8211; Zwolle wurde leider stillgelegt. Die Strecke von Apeldoorn nach Dieren wurde 1887 gebaut und ist ca. 22 km lang. Die Strecke wurde am 28. Juni 1887 offiziell er\u00f6ffnet. Die lokale Eisenbahnstrecke wurde in gro\u00dfem Umfang sowohl f\u00fcr den Personen- als auch f\u00fcr den G\u00fcterverkehr genutzt (haupts\u00e4chlich Holz und Papier f\u00fcr die lokale Industrie). Der regul\u00e4re Personenverkehr endete 1947, w\u00e4hrend der G\u00fcterverkehr bis 1984 fortgesetzt wurde. Der letzte G\u00fcterzug fuhr am 1. Juni 1984 und wurde ironischerweise von einer VSM-Dampflokomotive gezogen. 1975 gr\u00fcndete die VSM die Museumsgesellschaft auf der Strecke Apeldoorn &#8211; Dieren. Der Abschnitt Apeldoorn &#8211; Apeldoorn VAM (3 km) wird noch heute zur Entsorgung von Hausm\u00fcll per Zug genutzt. Auf der H\u00f6he der VSM-Werkstatt Apeldoorn biegt die Strecke vom Kanal ab und verl\u00e4sst Apeldoorn am VAM. Auf der anderen Seite der Autobahn A1 beginnt die h\u00fcgelige Landschaft um Beekbergen und Lieren. Die Strecke biegt hier links ab, um den Bahnhof Beekbergen zu erreichen.<\/p>\n<p>Vom Bahnhof Beekbergen f\u00e4hrt die Bahn geradeaus durch die Felder und Wiesen von Lieren zur Haltestelle Immenbergweg, wo sie in die W\u00e4lder der Veluwe einf\u00e4hrt. Die Strecke verl\u00e4uft dann einige Kilometer durch das wundersch\u00f6ne Waldgebiet der Veluwe, um den Wald kurz vor dem Bahnhof Loenen wieder zu verlassen. Die Strecke f\u00fchrt weiter durch die Wiesen nach Eerbeek, wo sie durch das Dorfzentrum zum Bahnhof f\u00fchrt.
