Die Fahrt mit dem Dampfzug f\u00fchrt Sie \u00fcber die mehr als hundert Jahre alte Eisenbahnstrecke Apeldoorn &#8211; Dieren. Der Bahnhof Beekbergen ist das Herz dieses lebendigen Eisenbahnmuseums. Hier befindet sich das Dampfdepot mit einer sehr umfangreichen Sammlung von Ger\u00e4ten. Aber auch die gro\u00dfe Werkstatt, ein sch\u00f6nes altes Bahnhofsgeb\u00e4ude mit einem authentischen Bahnhofsb\u00fcro, eine gro\u00dfe Drehscheibe zum Drehen der Lokomotiven, ein beweglicher Kohlekran, Wassers\u00e4ulen, Fl\u00fcgelsignale, manuell bet\u00e4tigte Bahn\u00fcberg\u00e4nge und vieles mehr. Hier erleben Sie die Zeit, als der Dampfzug noch ein allt\u00e4glicher Anblick war. Alles hat sich ge\u00e4ndert, aber der Dampfzug zwischen Apeldoorn und Dieren ist geblieben. Im selben Fr\u00fchjahr wurden die ersten Wagen und die erste Dampflokomotive restauriert. Seitdem wird die VSM von einer gro\u00dfen Anzahl begeisterter und fachkundiger Freiwilliger geleitet. Sie arbeiten mit gro\u00dfer Sorgfalt, Geduld und Wissen an der Wartung und Instandhaltung der Lokomotiven, Wagen und G\u00fcterwagen. Sie geben ihr Wissen auch durch interne Schulungen an die j\u00fcngeren Generationen weiter. Die vielen fahrt\u00fcchtigen Dampf- und Diesellokomotiven &#8211; aus verschiedenen deutschen und niederl\u00e4ndischen Baureihen &#8211; sind ihr Stolz und ihre Herausforderung. Dies gilt auch f\u00fcr die vielen Wagen.
